Wine Cellar

cellarhome

Beneath the Castle is a little wine cellar, in a cavern dug out of the tuff rock, benefitting from a temperature that varies only two degrees between summer and winter.

Dear Guest,

I would recommend you to visit our little wine cellar, as there is an ancient press dating back to 1743, entirely made from oak.

The wine consultant is my friend Barone Marco Ricasoli Firidolfi, descended from the oldest family of the Chianti region.

The La Rocca di Montegrossi, where the Chianti Classico wine of the same name is produced, has been owned by his family for over a thousand years.

It was designed for my own personal use, but is now open and at your disposal. It contains a limited number of wines, mostly from Tuscany, some perhaps not very well known, all of which I consider to be worth trying as they are very competitively priced.
